🖌️ A little about this piece:
If you're asking "where are the roses???" that's an excellent question. The Lyndale Park Rose Garden, which is located east of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, is over a hundred years old and filled will a huge variety of rose and other flowers. It's a gem for people and bees. I painted this shortly after getting back from a little weekend trip to the garden where I found myself completely obsessed with a little patch of flowers in the corner of the garden. Interestingly, no roses were present in this corner, but I still think about roses each time I look at it.
