Original abstract shapes painting (8"x8"), unframed, titled "Monarch"
🖌️ A little about this piece:
This piece is an exploration of balance with floating shapes and the power of color to determine the weight of an object. The colors remind me of a monarch butterfly, which is fitting because I painted this in the spring of 2022 when I was starting to plant new flowers with the intention of attracting butterflies. Two years later at the end of the summer in 202, I can proudly say that monarchs now grace my gardens often. It always feels like a treat to see them snack on one of my flowers. This piece reminds me to slow down and plan, execute thoughtfully, and hope for colorful things to come my way as a result in the future.
